The book tells how Arafat was finally persuaded to renounce terrorism and accept Israel. The book examines the PLO Chairman from various perspectives including the Americans who have negotiated with him, his Syrian adversaries, his Jordanian allies and his Israeli enemies. Those interviewed include Jordan's King Hussein and Israel's Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir.
