I don't often read children's books donated to my Little Free Library unless I'm looking at them to possibly read to my grandson, but this book sparked my interest as I was getting more nervous about the 2016 U.S. presidential election, I thought it might be interesting to look over some old legal systems. The book did not make me less nervous about my own country's political future, but it did give me an insight as to legal systems of the past in a book lavish with beautiful illustrations and a helpful glossary in the back. This is not the kind of topic I'd like to delve into on an adult level, but it was presented in an orderly and interesting way and made for good reading. My husband also read and liked this book! ( )
