A lovely book in horizontal orientation. Black and white photography full of stark beauty and peaceful images. Imaginative placement of the sentences. One lovely comforting thought per double page spread.

Of all the books given to me in those first hard days, this was one that helped me more than most. The writing was kind and comforting, but didn't hammer at me. ( )

Epigraph
Dedication
This book is dedicated to my friends and loved ones who shared their stories with me about finding comfort in grief - Dennis Jernigan

"For Those Who Grieve" was completed on September 11-14, 2001, while I watched live news coverage of the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C., and the brave efforts of those who sought to rescue the victims of this horrific event. This book is dedicated to the families, friends, and loved ones of those who were lost in the disaster, as well as the thousands of people who bravely and selflessly worked around the clock to rescue survivors. - Mike Rapp

Dedicated to my wife, parents, brother, and grandparents, and to the memory of those who are gone, yet still give us life. - David Johnson
