“Willy the Dreamer” written by Anthony Browne is a great book for young elementary students. The main character, Willy, is a monkey who dreams about becoming various things; he dreams about becoming a movie star, a singer, an explorer, a scuba diver, and various other things. Willy dreams about becoming famous and reminisces about his past. This is a great story because young children will be able to relate to Willy’s dreams. This story would be best suited for Kindergarten or First grade students.

This book has awsome surreal paintings. Willy is the main character and he loves to dream. He dreams that he's a film star, a sumo wrestler, a ballet dancer, a painter, an explorer, a famous writer, and a scuba diver. He has all sorts of adventures and the illustrations really help grab the readers attention. ( )
