I really liked An Abundance of Katherines when I read it last year. Some people are put off by the math in the book, but since I am a math nerd at times, it did not bother me. If you like that one, I would also suggest Green's Looking for Alaska although the books are quite different.

I have just picked up An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. This has some good reviews, has been recommeded by others on LT and I have already read a couple of his books before. I am hopeful that this one will be better than the previous two. Will let you know.

#80 glassreader: What did you think of Looking for Alaska? I read both that one and An Abundance of Katherines by Green this year and thought they were both very good.

2) Abundance- Sena Jeter Naslund ****

I finished Abundance by Sena Jeter Naslund. This was a strong historical novel, told from Marie Antoniette's point of view. I just started The Reader by Bernhard Schlink. This is an LT recommendation and a film starring one of my favorites, Kate Winslet, which is coming out soon! Yesss ...

Hi Stasia. Next up...Looking for Alaska Flossie...I always wanted a son. If you read An Abundance of Katherines, I'll be interested in hearing your comments. I liked the book, but as mentioned, I couldn't understand the quips and boy-like bantering of the characters.

#359 Whisper: Linda, have you tried Looking for Alaska by John Green yet? If not, I highly recommend it. I enjoyed An Abundance of Katherines after I had read Alaska, and it is interesting to see both the similarities and disparities between the two books.

Hi longwing I wanted to thank you for posting comments regarding An Abundance of Katherines by John Green Thanks to your recommendation, I added this book to my tbr pile. I finished reading it today and enjoyed it tremendously.

Book #98 An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. Yet another book found in the YA section of my local library, but, this one is a lot more humorous than some previously read. Dumped 19 times by Katherines, Colin Singleton, a recent high school graduate is a mesa plus genius who now ...

I just picked up An Abundance of Katherines by John Green from the library. I hope to start it later tonight or tomorrow. I have a couple of others to finish first.

I personally loved An Abundance of Katherines; I thought it was a very clever and fun book. The Book Thief is on my TBR pile.

American Born Chinese was already on my reading list, and I'm intrigued by An Abundance of Katherines, though from the description, Surrender doesn't particularly appeal to me (I'll read it anyway for a class I'm taking, so maybe I'll change my mind). I thought The Book Thief was ...

I read An Abundance of Katherines because all the great reviews it got on LT. I had seen it in the bookstore before and not picked it up, because with all the math, it didn't really look like my kind of book! I'm so glad I picked it up after reading about it many times on LT. It was an amazing ...

... keep them coming!! I think March should be wide open to anything. I am so excited to see people suggesting An Abundance of Katherines I loved this book and look forward to its paperback availablity so we can discuss it here. Also, Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

I read Sorcery and Cecelia when I was a ya! It'll be fun to revisit. I would second An Abundance of Katherines for the future, and also suggest Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, both of which folks have been talking about but I haven't read. I've been reading Saving Francesca, ...

Other books I'd like to do at some point in the future are The Giver and An Abundance of Katherines (when it comes out in paperback). I keep reading discussions about The Giver recently, and I loved it when I read it a long time ago. I don't know whether it's considered too similar to Uglies ...

Just read An Abundance of Katherines which was highly recommended on this board. I got it from the library, but I loved it so much, I'll be buying it shortly.

I haven't read a great number of YA books published in 2006 (our library takes forever to get anything in), but I liked An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. A Brief Chapter in My Impossible Life by Dana Reinhardt also stood out. I also finally read Sisterhood of the Traveling Pan ...

I'm about to start An Abundance of Katherines because of all your talk about it. ;) I have to say I agree with kperry about Fly by Night. I wanted to like it, but when I tried the audiobook I couldn't stick with it.

I just finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. I loved it. I would highly recommend it. It made me laugh and think. Who knew romance could be so mathematical. Now I have to finish I am the Cheese.

... I read I am the Cheese when I was in middle school and remember really liking it. I'm interested in picking up An Abundance of Katherines after hearing so much about it. Currently it is checked out at my library.

... I cried--everything. I liked this one a lot better then Inkheart. I am currently reading both I am the Cheese and An Abundance of Katherines. I just started The Amulet of Samarkand on audio. I am the Cheese is a bit confusing (it probably doesn't help I am reading two other ...

I just finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. It was enjoyable, I really loved the characters. The math and the Katherines got a little old, but overall it was enjoyable. I just started Rules of Survival by Nancy Werlin and I'm already really into it!

I am currently reading An Abundance of Katherines by John Green in an effort to read as many JHunt titles as possible. I am enjoying it and actually am liking it a bit more then Looking for Alaska, but I think that has something to do with the way my sense of humor is changing. I am ...

... think? I just finished Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. I liked it, but not near as much as Uglies. I just started An Abundance of Katherines, not even far enough in to know how I feel yet, but I really loved Looking For Alaska so I am hopeful.

... and read it in two days over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a fun adventure with a good message. I also just finished An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. I definitely enjoyed it but didn't find it as interesting and fun as Looking For Alaska. I was so drawen in by 'Alaska', ...
