Sorting out the responsibility for the unfortunate Gallipoli campaign of 1915 leads to a quote. "Successes have many fathers, Disaster is a bastard!" Trumbull's chief complaint stems from the problem with the 29th Division having to go to Alexandria to be repacked for a combat landing. Wasn't the First Lord of the Admiralty's problem, really. I concur. ( )
