My parents gave me this book over a decade ago. I was recently going on a vacation, and hadn't read anything just for fun in ages, so I decided to bring this along. I'd paged through this book numerous times over the years, as it's full of photos, but this was my first time reading it.

I've been designing my future house since I was maybe six, and at one point I was so into architecture that I was planning on going into it as a profession. So that alone made the book interesting to me.

The book is about glass houses. I'm love glass as a material, but I'm not into cement or metal in architecture for residences. I prefer wood and stone, which this book generally lacked. So this book didn't give me much direct inspiration. But I still found it quite enjoyable, and could appreciate the aesthetics, even if they're not ones with which I feel a personal resonance. ( )
