Loading... The New New Thing: A Silicon Valley Storyby Michael Lewis
Yet another book that I waited way too long to read. A great bio of Jim Clark and history-as-it-happened of Silicon Valley. ( )I liked Moneyball and Next: The Future Just Happened, so I figured I'd try another Michael Lewis book. This one chronicles the founder of SGI and Netscape, but (conviniently) stops just as the tech-stock bubble bursts. I'd kind of like to know what happened... This book also gave me a chance to relive the mid to late 90's. I should find my collection of the first few years of WIRED magazine. how the browser was born I was asked by my boss to read this book. For non-fiction it was quite good, and gives a lot of insight into what really happened with the Netscape/Microsoft thing. At times quite funny. |
