I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons. The illustrations showed how the love flowed through the different poems present with the various animals. I think the title and the summary on the back of the story give a false feeling about what the story would be about. It is titled Bear Hugs but is about various different animals.

The message of the story is about loving each other. ( )

This is a cute book full of many short poem about love and animals. You can find poems from turttle love to some bunny special, this collection of short poems are cute and fun.

I thought this was a story about bears loving each other when I first picked it out. It was hard to read to children ages two and three because there was no real story.

Older children you could have the as a group write a poem about something they love. Younger children could pick out their favorite poem and point out the ryhming words.

This book is a collection of small poems about animals. There are several differnt types of poetry in this book. The book is also kiind of themed around valentines day.

I really like this book because it is fun and it sparked my own interest in poetry which is something that I am really not that fond. After I read this book I have bought several more poetry books that are similar to this one.

I would use this book in the classroom around valentines day. After we have read the book I would have the class write their own poetry about some one or something that is special to them. It could also be used to talk about all the different kids of animals there are.
