I just listened to The Scarlet Pimpernel David Thorn version - very good! I also liked Simon Vance's version of Casino Royale. I like to listen to the sample first at audible to see if I'll like listening to that voice or not. I also always check the reviews to see what people said about ...

Hmm, just finished listening to Casino Royale on audiotape (great narration by Simon Vance, btw). I can't say I was really crazy about Bond, but it was fun to get inside his head, albeit, I didn't really like what I found!

#65 Casino Royale by Ian Fleming Something I've wanted to read for a long time, although I can't say it made more of a lover of Bond. Kaytbear, I haven't read them so far. I picked Casino Royale because it's on the 1001 books list and i figured it will be an enjoyable read, since the last one I picked was so boring. So far it's very confusing, because I'm already so used to M being a woman and it's just weird to read about M ...

In From Russia With Love, James Bond is sitting on the train reading Eric Ambler's A Coffin for Dimitrios which interestingly enough is a spy thriller.

I thought Casino Royale was quite good. Quantum of Solace almost seemed like back-pedaling though. Maybe I need to see it again, but there didn't seem to be much plot to it.

Another thumbs up for Casino Royale, which I saw in the theater first and on cable since then. Daniel Craig totally revives the series for me with the grittiness mentioned above. It was starting to become a spoof of itself, and now is returning to its gripping Sean Connery-type form. I do ...

Finally saw the first Daniel Craig as Bond movie, Casino Royale. Loved it--seemed gritty to me in a way the films haven't been since the very early ones. And he is not hard to look at!

Casino Royale, after listening to the audio book a while ago. I saw it at the cinema when it was released and thought it was very good, powerful in places.
