( ) Please do not get me wrong on this, I love the story. These two are two of my favorite couples. However, I thought the ending was kind of lacking. I mean, what happened? Did they get married? Did they move in together? Did the grandmother find out about a sale??? So although I like the story, I found it lacklustered. I'm hoping that there is some kind of follow-up. It was better the 2nd time around! 4.75 stars Genres; Adult, Paranormal, Romance, Suspense. Negatives & Positives Loved it, but felt pulled in too many directions at once. It would have been better if this been Assail & Sola's story without the addition V & Jane's addition. That needed to be in a novella or something. Or, better yet, a book like she did with Rhage & Mary in The Beast. My problem with it being in this story was it just added too much for me with everything else going on in the book. I have waited a long time for Assail & Sola's story! V & Jane added layers but, when you get pulled in two very different directions and both are so full of angst.....It made the reading/flow off just a bit. I understand there were elements they brought to the story that needed to be addressed, but it was a problem for me. Other than that I thought it was a great story and I love the BDB series. There is a lot to love in this one too. The suspense and adult romance is plentiful and well written. I will definitely be waiting with great anticipation for the next book in this series. I don't remember seeing any typos/editing errors. You know that feeling after you step off of a giant roller coaster? That's how I feel right now. It was a hell of a ride! I have been waiting for Assail and Sola's story for a long time. I have always adored his character and have been tortured by the glimpses we've been getting of him in the previous books. He was screaming in the background. We knew if he didn't come out of his psychosis, he would have to die. There was also the story of Vishous and Jane in this book. I wanted to strangle him as my heart was breaking for Jane and his relationship. There is a new threat to the species from Throe and his shadow creatures. I once liked Throw but he's turned into a total psycho. He's become the quintessential comic book villain who wants to take over the world. Cue the maniacal laughing. I think there are a lot more stories to be told. I'm interested in where the Jo Early story will go. I've always wanted to see Murhder again and what about Xcor’s Band of Bastards? Will they be getting a story? Now, we just have to wait and see. www.paranormalromanceslut.com no reviews | add a review
