Such a good book. Julian Barnes is a really clever writer. Funny but sad. Favourite chapter was 10: I'm not sure I can even believe this. ( )

In this powerfully affecting Flaubert's Parrot gives readers a brilliant take on the deceptions that make up the quivering substrata of erotic love.
