However, sometimes I find her style of writing knitting patterns a little bit non-transparent since they are so chatty. Thus only 4 stars. Knitting Around is a classic EZ book--it's filled with chatty instructions for classic patterns (such as the Bog Jacket, the Pi Are Square shawl, and several sweaters based off Elizabeth's Percentage System, or EPS). But, for me, it is the digressions on EZ's own life that make this book a treasure. So if you are looking for clear, math-free patterns, look elsewhere. However, if you enjoy clever prose and want to be a master of your own knitting, Knitting Around is the book for you. no reviews | add a review

I love the digressions and found them interesting and amusing. (
