None. I've recommended this book in a general discussion of "Best Books in Systematic Theology": http://douggeivett.wordpress.com/2009/12/07/best-books-in-systematic-theology/ The magnum opus of one of Reformed Theology's best minds. A wonderful work set up in question answer format. However, Turretin is very polemical and interacts a great deal with the issues of his day (Socinians, Anabaptists, Roman Catholics, et al). While there is some value in this, many modern readers will have little use for it. Great binding with a modern typeset and layout. Well worth your money! Turretin, Francis, Institutes of Elenctic Theology, Vols. 1, 2, and 3 (Philadelphia, PA: The Presbyterian and Reformed Publishing Co., 1992). Volume 1: First Through Tenth Topics; Volume 2: Eleventh Through Seventeenth Topics; Volume 3: Eighteenth Through Twentieth Topics These three volumes "mark the arrival of the first complete edition of the INSTITUTES OF ELENCTIC THEOLOGY to be published in the English language. Heartily recommended by James Montgomery Boice, Sinclair B. Ferguson, John H. Gerstner, Leon Morris, and others. Theologians, pastors, and students will welcome this treatise, which first develops and then contrast Reformed doctrines with Roman Catholic, Arminian, and Socinian views. . . ." -- Publisher's Annotation Great systematic theology. As good as Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. no reviews | add a review
