I didn't really enjoy this. For me it was overly basic and not particularly engaging. However, it made a great showing of how two opposite colors combined can create something entirely new. ( )

A lovely, positively simple yet perfect little book. The story of how the color white met the color black and they came together to make polkadots, a checker board, stripes, wiggles, and eventually they come completely together to make gray. The book also stars a little white mouse and a gray cat, enhancing the opposites attract theme when they end up cuddled up together at the end of the book. Could be used to explain color combinations, unlikely friends coming together, opposites attract, or just how two different things can make something new. ( )

Children will enjoy playing with the movable features in this book focusing on mixing colors black and white. Mice guide students through mixing. ( )
