I'll vote for Sandor Clegane, AKA:The Hound in George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. It's been several months since I read the last book in the series, but a day doesn't go by without wondering what that SOB is up to! What a great character - nasty, but with a heart.

Ok, time to start up the challenge again. I'm about 150 pages into A Feast For Crows by George R. R. Martin. Maybe I shouldn't be starting the challenge with this one, since A Storm Of Swords threw me off pace at the end of my last reading year, but I'm still on vacation and it's a fun book.

I'll have to agree that I didn't like Feast for Crows quite as much as the first 3 (I still finished it in a couple weeks). I think this is because of the way Martin ended up splitting the books. Feast was missing many of my favorite characters, Dany, Jon, Tyrion, however he added enough new to ...

... for them. I was at two this past Friday and didn't see any at all. >76 I have this huge advanced reader's copy of Feast of Crows but I won't put it on BM because it's just too huge to mail (imo). I have other plans for it, I think.

If anybody is interested, I just put up a copy of George RR Martin's A Feast for Crows. You can find it here: http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/055358202X

... search of your library and found nothing by George Martin in there, so I'm assuming you haven't read his fantasy series, A Song of Fire and Ice which starts with A Game of Thrones. Talk about addictive! I'm not much for fantasy, but this has proven to go way beyond the genre and reads ...

I just finished A Feast for Crows, the fourth book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. It wasn't as good as the first three books in the series, but still better than a lot of books out there. My thanks to philosojerk for ...

47. A Feast for Crows by George Martin. 4th in the A Song of Fire and Ice series. Not as gripping as the other 3, in part due to a slight change in the way the novel is structured--longer chapters for each point of view definitely slowed things down. Still good, however--Talbin has hit ...

i finally read A Song of Ice and Fire, but the last one ticked me off by ignoring half of the characters. apparently theres been a long wait for the fifth one. anyway, the series itself was very satisifying, but a lot of people that i've talked to about it have said that it confused them a bit ...

#25 Talbin: Every review I read of A Feast for Crows said that it wasn't as good as the previous 3, but I think that happens when you're writing the transitional book for the end of a series. Maybe when I get to that one I won't be so obsessed and can actually read some other books, as well! :-)

I'm in the middle of A Feast for Crows, the fourth book in the series A Song of Ice and Fire. I'm not enjoying it as much as the previous three books (which were excellent), but I can see that it's setting some things up for the end of the series. It's ...

... bib! Well I can't really comment on my feelings about the book split, since I didn't start reading this series until after A Feast for Crows came out. :) I didn't think A Feast for Crows was as good as the first three books though, and I really hope that A Dance with Dragons gets back up to ...

... character rather than time? I'm torn, as my favorite characters will all be in Dance with Dragons but I did still enjoy Feast for Crows and I really don't know how it would have worked the other way!

Very good theory el, but extremely difficult. I think you'll enjoy Arya's story line in Feast for Crows and I must admit, Sansa is starting to grow on me. I totally crush on Jon Snow, and Ghost is awesome! Man I love these books!

... LG, I'll have to check it out. #21 No problem el! I hope you like it, it's a nice fast read. And it is frustrating in Feast for Crows to not have Jon or Dany, but there are Samwell chapter and I loved those!

... characters and complex plots. It's when they're stuffed with padding that I get irritated. I love GRRM, but I think A Feast for Crows was on the padded side.

18) A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin Now I've read all the Song of Fire and Ice books so far. This one was good, but still somewhat disappointing. There's no Tyrion, Daenerys, or Bran. And I am slightly annoyed by the way Brienne is left hanging (pun intended).

Oh yes, I'm with you on this one. I'm pretty disappointed that the last two of the George RR Martin Fire and Ice series went to some dull, boring dust jackets when the earlier books had some really interesting cover art. I'd like my series to be the same style. It seemed the UK versions had ...

... Song of Ice and Fire series, which has a Medieval-esque setting, have encountered it so far. When I heard him promoting Feast of Crows, he compared magic to anchovies on pizza: he likes a little of it mixed in with a lot of other stuff, but he doesn't like a lot of it by itself.

George RR Martin has crossed genres over the years but I think his best known, most recent series is A Song of Ice and Fire. The following are in the series: 1. A Game of Thrones 2. A Clash of Kings 3. A Storm of Swords 4. A Feast for Crows Also just out: 1. Dr ...

Today I read the Epic of Gilgamesh, a few days ago I finished A Feast for Crows, and now I'm taking a book break (!!!!) by listening to Escape Pod's archive of sci-fi/fantasy short stories.

Finished A Feast for Crows, can't wait for the rest of the series. Started on an English translation of The Epic of Gilgamesh last night. It's very short and I expect to finish it today. I was distracted by baseball yesterday and couldn't pay proper attention to the book.

Almost done with A Feast for Crows and I don't want it to be over since the next book in the series isn't out yet.

Just finished Red Dwarf by Grant Naylor this morning. Going to go pick up A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin from the library tomorrow. Also listening to Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.
