This book is a great book for children to be able to read naturally and easily. Tabitha does not want to take a bath. She goes without a bath for weeks. Her skates become so dirty that she cannot skate in them anymore. This makes her decide to take a bath.
The connection I had with this, is I used to be like Tabitha when I was little. I hated taking baths. I would even run bath water to make it sound like I was getting a bath, and not really get in the tub.
