Regia di George Cukor. Con Candice Bergen, Jacqueline Bisset, David Serby. * E' la storia dell'odio - amore fra due antiche compagne di collegio. Una è diventata un'apprezzata scrittrice, l'altra, sulla sua scia, è diventata anche lei famosa ma come autrice commerciale. La rivalità professionale fra le due s'acutizza quando il marito della "commerciale" dichiara di essere innamorato dell'impegnata e la figlia della coppia si mette con l'amante giovane dell'impegnata. Ultimo film "per donne" di Cukor (morirà poco dopo) tratto da una commedia di John Van Druten che già aveva fornito lo spunto a Vincent Sherman per l'amica con Bette Davis.
