I am in the process of reading Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen and while it is good, it is not her best effort. My next 2 books are women of the silk for book club and still alice for an author lunch. ... #107 - can't recall whether I've read The Bone Garden or not - will have a hunt on BookMooch and see if it rings any bells! Thanks for confirming I'm not alone ... :-) ... i read some of Tess Gerritsens other stuff. She wrote a couple of dire romances early in her career. Have you tried The Bone Garden? I'm listening to The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsenand really loving it. It's not great literature but the story is a lot of fun. The one weakness is the narration. The narrator is alright with the women's voices but a lot of the male voices sound ridiculous. Still I am enjoying this book very ... ... arke

I have just finished reading The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen and really enjoyed it.
I'm currently reading Faithless by Karin Slaughter and it has started off well as is her usual stuff.
My next read will probably be Second Glance by Jodi Picoult unless after my current ... ... Franklin (thanks to several mentions here) and I liked it even more than Mistress of the Art of Death.
Now, I'm on to The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen after having skipped The Mephisto Club because of such sour reviews. I'm enjoying this one, though, as I have most of Gerritsen's stuff. Finished listening to The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen and really enjoyed it. A bit schmaltzy at the end, but otherwise a good story. I'm just about to start listening to Compulsion by Jonathan Kellerman. Moving on from The Hunchback of Notre Dame to The Blue Flower by Penelope Fitzgerald. I'm still listening to The Bone Garden which is surprisingly good. ... Hugo, and standing with one foot in colonial New England and present day New England as I listen to Tess Gerritsen's The Bone Garden. ... which the reader (me) doesn't want to miss one word because the use of language is so marvelous. I continue to listen to The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen. ... book, and am reading another Early Reviewer selection, The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti. I am also listening to The bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen on audiobook.

This was by far the best book I have read in a long time. I didn't want it to end. I wish there was a sequel.If you haven't read this ... ... Maura Isles series are set in and around Boston. There is one of that series that also goes up into Maine. Her newest book, The Bone Garden looks to be a dual time period book that fluctuates between 19th century and modern day boston. ... meeting Chinese doctors, prostitutes, and Chilian bandits along the way. Just a bit too farfetched for my liking.
