This is a great counting book for preschoolers. It is a pop-up book that is great for young children. It incorporates lots of different animals and the pictures and pop-ups are wonderfully done. This book would be a great one to use for distraction as Child Life Specialist's because the pop-ups would distract patients. A great resource and book! ( )

This is a great learning tool - the colors are bright, the pictures engaging, and every kid loves a pop-up book! Through rhyming text, ten different animals are the subjects of several sentences describing something involving the corresponding number of items (they're usually eating - nine carrots, seven bones, etc...).

As a bonus, the extra items on the page (say, birds and fence posts on the bunny/nine carrots page), also equal the number discussed. S loves to count those extras almost more than the items in the rhymes! ( )
