A wonderful blend of fantasy and cats in 24 short stories. The editor (and one of the authors, of course) is the beloved Andre Norton. "The Maltese Feline" by Rosemary Edghill is a hoot - a flawless send-up of every Mike Hammer book I ever read. My favorite is probably "Lullaby" by Lyn McConchie - a touching and intense story of sad and lost cat looking to end her life who finds and rescues a small girl from a horrible fate, and finds a new purpose for her life.
