Well then.....this particular author should be BANNED FROM EVEN WRITING SOMETHING SO BENIGN AS CHRISTMAS CARDS!

I am fully aware that Erotica is very difficult to balance.....people expect sex and lots of it and of course they would appreciate a decent story-line to follow.

HOWEVER!!!!!!

Just read this... O__O
This is one of those old curse/prophecy type of books.

Somewhere around page 10: An alien witch, gets kidnapped by a guy who has the hots for her, and after a long chase he gets her and has his wicked way with her. Soooooooooo, while she's bleeding to death from HER HYMEN(???!!!), she casts a curse over an entire planet, covering it in darkness, she sends her SPORES(???!!!) flying throughout the cosmos to seed a line of awesome virgins....

And I was like.... HOLD THE F* UP!!!!! So a wicked witch with a massive fungal issue, does some pretty impressive cauldron stirring while she lays down her heroically I might add from a popped cherry? I read the paragraph again and sure as hell, I didn't imagine it...

Now i read some mish-mashes in my life but COME OOOOON!!!! After i finished laughing at that particular nugget I deleted this book, and placed it's author on the NUCLEAR WASTE pile....

Alea is a 24-year-old virgin. She loves to read erotica, isn't repressed, and isn't scared of a broken heart. She IS scared that she'll turn out like her mother the prostitute, especially since the only sexual scenarios that "trip her trigger" are those involving herself and TWO men. She's pretty sure that's not normal and certainly not likely to ever happen to her either...

Rjant and Tren have come a long way to find Alea...from the CalyTron galaxy to be exact. On their planet, the normal sexual 'pairing' involves two males and one female. Better yet, before they mate with their female they must chase her down. Guess it's a good thing for Alea she runs track, eh?

I picked this and the next in the series up on a recommendation from Amazon...uh, probably won't do THAT again. It's not that it's bad, it's just that I can think of several authors who do this MUCH better: Maya Banks, Bianca D'Arc, and Kaitlyn O'Connor come immediately to mind. Whiting's world is well-mapped, and there are historical (on this world) reasons for the 'pairings' and the chase. There's an interstellar battle and threat in the book too. So if you're a big s/f fan and like some erotica and menage too...then this might be a book for you. It's just not one for MY keeper shelf. ( )

I enjoyed Angelia Whiting's The Trigon Rituals. Tren and Rjant are both incredibly sexy, and I like how Alea kept them on their toes. This is a really hot story and will please readers of erotic romance. But it is also a humorous story. All three main characters had their own sense of humor, their own personality. I really enjoyed Angelia's writing style throughout this story, and liked the world-building that brought this planet to life. I can see myself going to their planet and being worried about rami beetles, and details like that are the reason I enjoy reading futuristic romance. ( )
