I don't have much to say about this third For Better or For Worse collection. The strips are amusing, but there's no great storyline or significant development in the lives of the main characters. It is the first time that we see a photo of Lynn Johnston's family, however.

In this third "For Better or For Worse" collection, Michael turns seven, and Lizzie three. John and Elly vacation in Barbados, Anne is pregnant, Connie and Ted break up, Phil moves in with the Pattersons and resumes dating Connie, who resumes dating Ted. Phil later moves out into a house with two other musicians. Elly volunteers for the "Valley Voice", and Anne has her second boy. Phil starts dating Georgia, whom he will later marry. Michael steals and later returns a scarf from a store. The strip is starting to swing easily into the changes that life and time effect on us, and doing it nicely. ( )
