On My Own The Art of Being a Woman Alone by Florence Falk
This 295 page honest and open survival guide for women who find themselves alone was a joy to review. The style just flowed and I could feel the real caring and support from the author, and I was feeling like wow with this book it may not be so bad for those of us on our own. I liked the personal stories that helped to explain each subject, they just gave me such a sense of empathy and understanding, and support in the belief that when it becomes my turn I can do it too.
Even though I have made a career of never living alone, I could relate to this awesome read because I have found myself in relationships where I felt completely isolated and by myself, in a prison of my own making and I was ever so grateful that my precious new best friend addressed that in a deep and profound way. I would recommend this meaningful messenger to those of us who want that little extra reassurance that as females we are strong, beautiful and capable beyond belief. Thanks Florence for such an insightful book.
'On My Own' sends a refreshingly positive and supportive message that being alone is not a sign of failure but can be an empowering and liberating experience.
