A Victorian inventor travels to the distant future.

I didn't expect much, and I didn't get much. The book is not particularly suited to being a movie, and despite all of their changes to the story, they didn't do a single thing to address that problem. And the few things that the movie should have been able to have in its favor - adventure, suspense, and a sense of wonder - are absent.

First rate adaption of H.G. Wells classic story, well acted and absorbing. Special effects are of the time but convincing nonetheless. ( )
