The Sugar Creek Gang gets a new teacher, a man! And he is pretty mean! It doesn't help any when Bill throws a snowball and Mr. Black (the new teacher) just happens to step outside and KERRR-WAMMMM!!!!!!! It hits! Of course it was a mistake, but it's no use trying to change Mr. Black's mind! The gets worse when Dragonfly passed a note in class that made fun of the teacher and it stopped at Bill. Later Mr. Black gets Shorty Long's name and Bill's name mixed up and when Bill doesn't respond, Mr. Black gets angry and also spots the note in his pocket. But the worst of it is when the Gang gets locked in the woodshed. Dragonfly has been hanging around Shorty Long and has been looking at barn-yard muddy pictures Shorty drew. They were about the Gang. Now, Mr. Black has it and the Gang is trying as hard as they can to keep him from looking at them, and the only way is to fight.
The 1st time I read this, I got really mad at Dragonfly. I loved the part when the Gang gets locked in the woodshed. This book doesn't have anything to do with a snow storm. It's a stormy kind of day. One bad thing happens after another. This book is awesome. ( )
