This story follows very strongly on another, that I haven't read yet - Yoko and friends are reunited with their Vinean, alien, friends. There are several things that are clearly references to the earlier book (Yoko's shock over Kanban having rank, for instance), but I don't know what actually happened. It's also a rather awkward book - why was Yoko necessary? Khany says she is, but has to explain all the tools they use to manage things - and what Yoko does do, no one could have expected. Still fun, but this story doesn't really work for me. ( ) no reviews | add a review

A strange accident at an offshore platform in the Caribbean draws Yoko, Vic and Pol into a new encounter with the Vineans - aliens who have lived underground for thousands of years without the world's knowledge. But Vinean politics are changing; some factions now believe it would be best to return to the surface, share it with the humans... While others are bent on taking it over by force. The young Japanese will have to fight to protect peace. No library descriptions found. |
