There are four books in this series about the Trask family of New Hampshire. This is Gabe's story a suave hotel manager, a local boy who is doing well,he loves his job and the folks who work for him. But trouble arrives in the person of Hadley Stone, Daughter of the CEO of Stone Enterprises sent to whip this hotel into financial shape. During the time that Hadley is studing the hotel and its surroundings she comes to admire Gabe. He is dedicated, hardworking but also feeling and compassionate, unlike her cold demanding and judgemental father whom she could never please. It is interesting that Hadley begins to see that there is another way of doing business, instead of focusing on the bottom line, but establishing a business plan that takes employees into account. As Gabe shows her his work and world he begins to fall for her and she for him. The last few chapters are very exciting especially when Hadley has a show down with her father and Gabe, She becomes her own adult in one day. This was a very enjoyable story.

The devastatingly handsome manager of the Hotel Mount Jefferson, Gabe Trask, was all too eager to offer a wide array of amenities to Hadley Stone when he thought she was just a holiday guest. But once he learned that she was really there as a representative of the cost-cutting management company that had just acquired his hotel, Hadley expected Gabe to really be on her case. And he was -- just not in the way she'd imagined....

For Gabe knew that despite all her down-to-business, cost-cutting talk, Hadley was a romantic at heart-one whom he was inexplicably finding hard to resist. And he could see in her eyes that the feeling was becoming mutual. Now all he had to do was convince her to check her business instincts at the door -- and focus on the personal....
