The Blood of the Fold refers to a cult that is very much anti-magic, a prelude to the Imperial Order that are on the way to the Midlands. The Blood of the Fold are brutal, nasty and stupid, and Richard has to get them out of the way before he can unite the Midlands. A testimony to what can be done by stupid people, and the power of repeating lies over and over until the same stupid people think they must be truth. In the overall theme of a series titled 'The Sword of Truth', the topic fits, but still not my favorite book. It reveals abit more about Richard but at the same time more questions seem to pop up about him.
