Still listening to The Cleaner on the iPod. The narrator is annoying the crap out of me. His character voices all sound the same and he can't do accents to save his life. The story is very ... ... Vine aka Ruth Rendell. It's from the mid-80s and excellently crafted so far. Hardly surprising.

A bit simplistic in style, but I can't tell if he's just setting character (mostly it's in dialogue and monologue) or if his style is just really pared down and vernacular.
