focuses on the Grace of the title bringing her into contact with numerous contemporary Australian horror stories. She is named after a pre aboriginal skeleton her anthropologist father found before she was born. Embraces refugees of all kinds: the heart; self; politics; time; the city. Beautifully written as always with Robert Drewe. Irrelevant but interesting: I was interested to note that this is his second book in which sex and baby oil are referred to - The Body Surfers. ( )
