It does not get much more graphic then this. This book is the story of a neighborhood who has fallen to the Crack Epidemic. The characters, most of whom are addicts, are all people doomed by their own drug abuse or by the addictions of others.

The book shows us how this drug manages to turn mothers into street walkers and beggars, children into both victims and monsters.

This book is well written although a lot of people will find it overly depressing and because of that, hard to read. You be the judge. ( )
