This is a book that shows and tells how young animals survive the dangers of early life to grow or change into dults. Illustrations depict vital stages of the birth, growing up, or the change from one form to another. It has a variety of animals that you can't find in just most animal books so as Maned wolf, Pintailed sandgouse or the Weddell seal.

This book is jammed packed with information on rare breeds around the world. It's very interesting to read the the pages and see the beautiful illustrations. As with most animal books, I enjoy this one as well. Very informational!

This book could be used for a number of resources such as reports on endangered species, rare breeds, types of animals, water animals, land animals, etc. This could be used for a life cycle unit because it shows illustrations from baby to adult.
