I read Feynman's Six Easy Pieces and thoroughly enjoyed it, so it looks like I need to check out QED as well. Thanks for the recommendation!

QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter Having already read his autobiographies Surely You're Joking, Mr Feynman and What Do You Care What Other People Think, I was convinced that I could gain valuable insights into quantum electrodynamics from Feynman, who had a unique ability to ...

... what I'd call "entry-level" physics. Very readable, but doesn't lose the depth needed to understand what's going on. Also, QED is a pretty good intro to some more advanced quantum mechanics without needing a bunch of specialized math.

If I were to recommend just one book on physics, it would be Feynman's QED; The Strange Theory of Light and Matter. This book changed my life ... honestly. I never looked at the world the same way after reading it.

QED is a pretty readable intro to - what else - quantum electrodynamics.

... Prime Obsession, The Millenium Problems, and Unknown Quantity are my favorites. those last three do have equations. QED: Strange Theory of Light and Matter is one of the very few books on quantum field theory. the Teaching Company has a set of string theory lectures (by Jim Gates). ...

For Feynman, I'd start with The Character of Physical Law or QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter.

... at amateur so I will not attempt to explain further. There are many laymen's books on the subject e.g.Quantum Weirdness, QED The Strange Theory of Light and Matter which may help. I will just mention an adaptation of the above experiment described in The Goldilocks Enigma. "The Delayed-choic ...

... they aren't written in the modern symbolism. If you get a version with modern commentary, I'd imagine it's easier. QED: Strange Theory of Light and Matter is one of the few popularizations of quantum field theory. In that sense, it's more modern than the slew of QM books. I enjoyed Su ...

The Elegant Universe: Superstrings, Hidden Dimensions, and the Quest for the Ultimate Theory by Brian Greene QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter by Richard Feynman

Feynman is, of course, my hero. I recommend The Pleasure of Finding Things Out or QED: the Strange Theory of Light and Matter. These books are not about him, but by him, and so give a great insight into his own way of thinking without the technicalities of his physics lectures. I have ...
