I'm reading Imago by Octavia Butler and The Power of Babel, which, I'm happy to say, doesn't have any glaring errors that I've picked up so far, which is *very* good for a pop linguistics books. There are some right shockers out there.

The Power of Babel is one of my all time favorite books ever.

Yesterday I bought the movie tie-in of the first three Series of Unfortunate Events books (in one volume) and The Power of Babel by John McWhorter - it's pop linguistics, but still looks interesting.

Does anyone know if Rosemary Kirstein has a new Steer's-woman book due out soon? I have the last one, Language of Power, but it's been a while since it came out, and I read in an interview that she has seven books planned. Can't find any new info at Amazon, or even on her Web site. Help!
