All-reading vacation started - Yay!! I finished Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher, and also I dreamed I married Perry Mason by Susan Kandel. On to more.... Just picked up:
Dead Beat, Proven Guilty, Small Favor and White Night of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. ... Tribe that Wouldn't Die by Cheewa James (only got to read half of this one, as it had to go back for review)

The Nun's Story/Requiem for a Nun
The Sound and the Fury/A Quiet Strength
The Innocent Man/Proven Guilty
A Woman of Substance/The Invisible Man
#17 Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher
Another great book in the Dresden Series. There is great story development here and we learn more about Michael Carpenters family. It is fast paced and the action is as always spectacular. A lot of major plot lines for the next couple of books are set up here ... ... a foot from my ear.
Mouse has better people skills then me.
"It's only paranoia if I'm wrong" ~ Harry Dresden.
Proven Guilty ... Butcher
5. Death Masks by Jim Butcher
6. Blood Rites by Jim Butcher

Hmm I am really on a Jim Butcher kick, his stories are fast paced and fun. I really like Harry Dresden and the characters in his books. Only two books left in the series for now so won't be on this much longer. It does of course re-appear in the end of Proven Guilty ... I love the consistent back story in all of these. It's def. better than White Night, but not as good as Dead Beat or Proven Guilty, my two favorite books in the series thus far. Just my opinion. 15. Dead Beat Jim Butcher
16. Proven Guilty Jim Butcher ... & Los Angeles, 20th Century)
The 6th Target by James Patterson (San Francisco, 21st Century)
2. Illinois
Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher (Chicago, 21st Century)
White Night by Jim Butcher (Chicago, 21st Century)
3. Louisiana
How to Be Lost by Amanda Eyre ... I finished Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher and I've begun Icefields by Thomas Wharton. I finished Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher yesterday. I finished Proven Guilty last night. I wonder who the rat on the White Council is. And I wonder what Thomas is up to. Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher
Total books read: 5 I finished Dead Beat during lunch earlier and I've started Proven Guilty. Both are by Jim Butcher. I was ready.

How far have you read? I got Blood Rites, Dead Beat, and Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher. ... 3 - Grave Peril
Book 4 - Summer Knight
Book 5 - Death Masks
Book 6 - Blood Rites
Book 7 - Dead Beat
Book 8 - Proven Guilty
"Something Borrowed" - Short story in My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding
Book 9 - White Night
"It's My Birthday Too" - Short story in Many Bloody Returns ... Here are a few notes for Proven Guilty:
This one begins with the execution of a young would-be wizard who had gotten into trouble with the White Council by practicing black magic. Harry is very upset by this.
Then Harry receives a call from Molly, with arequest to bail her out of jail; ... This is a thread in order to discuss the book Proven Guilty as well as the books that came before since the books aren't open ended and each one builds upon the characters & main plot. Which books of the ones out....or that you've read do you like the best so far?
I like Proven Guilty best closely followed by Summer Knight. Three from the library:
The Margarets by Tepper
and
White Night and Proven Guilty by Butcher
I'm most excited about the Tepper, I just love her writing, but I've heard such good things about the Dresden Files that I can't wait to dive into that series. Unfortunately, these are books 8 ... I'm hoping I can manage at least fifty. Let's start with what I've read this month:
1) Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher
I love the Dresden Files books.
2) The Black Tea Experiments by Ray Atkinson
A publicist sent me review copies of a couple of books because I run a review ... Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton
Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher
... Peril, Book 3
Summer Knight, Book 4
Death Masks, Book 5
Blood Rites, Book 6
Dead Beat, 7th book
Proven Guilty, 8th book
White Night, 9th book
For some reason, after "Book 6," they are not numbered, at least on the paperbacks. They just say "A Novel of the Dres ... ... my catalog, which matches yours though they are not available for mooching!
My favourites, nos. 4 Summer Knight and 8 Proven Guilty. We don't have White night: out over here yet, but I've been told its as good as the rest. grr touchstones really didn't like White knight - helps if you ... ... Fool Moon, Grave peril and I'm about halfway through Summer Knight which is my favourite so far. I've just bought Proven Guilty so I'll read the rest in order to get the history right. ... bought only a couple of books a couple of weeks back from Forbidden Planet a chance find whilst brousing in Birmingham - Proven Guilty and When Jack sued Jill. Books:
- Fables: March of the Wooden Soldiers
- Proven Guilty
- Childhood's End
Audio:
- Dracula
- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
- Sea Wolf #80: Proven Guilty by Jim Butcher
I love this series. Have I said that before? Even if so, it warrants repeating. Jim Butcher is an excellent author; I don't know how he manages to keep track of his plots in his head. And I love watching Harry change from book to book. The events of each book ... ... Drake (finished on 21 Feb 07)

10. Dead Beat 424 pages
11. Proven Guilty 479 pages
Up until now, Fool Moon has been my favorite of the Dresden Files. Proven Guilty rivals it.
