This reads like a really great history lecture captured on paper, and it really captures the human story of a legendary neighbor. I found myself rushing to find out where Palmer was going next, and he never failed to disappoint. He does, however, assume a high level of background knowledge, which helps to keep the book short but might also be confusing. Be prepared to run to Wikipedia a couple times, but definitely pick this one up and give it a read. ( )
