It was a good book, though not my favorite of the series. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

What, no touchstone for ... I finished Creepers yesterday and started on Matrimony. I think that Matrimony is actually going to be the kind of book I'm not actually crazy about, but well enough done so that I'll enjoy it. ... "Book Reviews" in Readerville .
I have about 50 pages left in Matrimony. Still very good! I'm almost finished with Matrimony and am now loving it, for a variety of wonderful reasons.
My review of The Handmaid's Tale, which I read earlier this week is in Readerville < ... ... Meeks as well.
I'll post here when my review is up, toward the end of the week (still need to write the review for Matrimony, like you, bnbooklady, I enjoyed it, lots of characters I "recognized" from life! I'm now halfway through Matrimony and am really enjoying it.
I loved The Shadow of the Wind and The Historian, but I think you really have to appreciate the slowly building plot and the qualities of the gothic novel to enjoy them. 122:TooFond--I'm now halfway through Matrimony and am really enjoying it...it seems eerily similar to my college and recent post-college life (I met my husband on our 3rd day of college) and can't wait to finish it. I never really know what's next up because I just walk to the TBR pile and pull ... ... and Seasons last night and am enjoying it. Will wait to read your reviews until I've posted mine.

I'm now 50 pages into Matrimony by Joshua Henkin, which I'm reading to review in anticipation of the paperback release later this month. So far, it's good but not great...but I have high hopes.

Currently reading Matrimony by Joshua Henkin in anticipation of the paperback release in a few weeks. ... has staying power, The Sex Lives of Cannibals is quite unintentionally depressing, and I have no opinion whatever of Matrimony the book because I've never heard of it and, of the estate, I have a fairly dim opinion since my own two marriages proved to me that mixed marriages are a ... ... pages left in The Handmaid's Tale, and I know it's going to earn a spot on my favorites. Then, it will be off to either Matrimony, The Sex Lives of Cannibals, or Haroun and the Sea of Stories...I can't decide.
Suggestions? ... I'll be reviewing this week, at his request.
