I love this book it has so much suspense. I can't believe that Cinderpaw can't be a warrior anymore because of Tigerclaw's trap. It makes me feel so devistated and angry but that is what I like about this series, they make you feel as though you are really there. ( )

Gone is the awkwardness I found in the first book of this series. This second book was a fast-paced enjoyable read. The story starts the day after the previous events and we are greeted with many familiar characters. The rivalries between the Clans is increasing and war seems immanent. I read this pretty much straight through and really enjoyed it. I will definitely be continuing on with this series. ( )

As a warrior it's their job to protect the clan. Will Firepaw be able to? An adventurous story of Firepaw's life as a warrior. Love It!!! ( )

An entertaining look at what feral cats might do on their own time, but in no way as richly imagined, complete, or well-written as Watership Down. ( )

Dedication
For my son, Joshua, whose smiles kept me happy as I wrote, and Vicky, my editor, without whom Fireheart would never have become a warrior. Special thanks to Kate Cary.

Quotations
"Leopardfur lifted her head and yowled into the wind, 'Whiteclaw! No!' Graystripe scrambled backward until all four paws were on safe ground. His wet fur was bristling and his eyes were wide with shock. 'I tried to grab him...he just lost his footing...I didn't mean to...'"

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0060525592, Paperback)

Deep in the heart of the forest, four clans of warrior cats coexist in uneasy harmony -- but uncertain times are upon them, and dangers threaten the precarious balance of the forest.

Fireheart is a ThunderClan warrior cat now, but his troubles are far from over. As the chill of winter sets in, the cats of rival RiverClan grow restless, while WindClan is weak and facing threats from all sides.

As tensions build to an explosive climax, Fireheart faces not only imminent battle, but betrayal from within his own Clan.
