14. Heartsick by Chelsea Cain - 3 1/2 stars I wasn't expecting much from this book, another "serial killer thriller". So here I am rather surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. It has all the standard ingredients, a troubled lead dective with dark secrets, a young ...

"Tell her to get a good night's sleep." Heartsick by Chelsea Cain "Don't you just love the rain?"

"She wasn't pretty, exactly. Striking was definitely the word for it." Heartsick by Chelsea Cain "Would your kid have pink hair?"

#67 luv2read97: yes, I actually had my hand on the next one yesterday and then put it back cause I hadn't read Heartsick yet. I will have to go back and pick it up. You're right, if you are going to read about serial killers - you want it to be scary and gross!

I started Heartsick by Chelsea Cain last night. It's about serial killers and appears to be appropriately gross and thrilling.

Looking for a quick read as I know some library books I ordered will be in by Tuesday, so I picked Heartsick by Chelsea Cain off the TBR stacks. It's a serial killer crime story and looks like it's going to be pretty good.

"He was. They talked him into coming back to lead the new task force." Heartsick by Chelsea Cain "Where am I supposed to find him?"

Sorry everybody, I didn't check back sooner. From Heartsick by Chelsea Cain Page 44 Clue Nbr 1: inclination

53. Heartsick by Chelsea Cain As a reader of true crime even some scenes in this book got to me. Very graphic. It was good in a sick sort of way. I will probably read her next book.

Interesting bunch of books you've read this year. I also read Sweetheart this year, and later read Heartsick and enjoyed both. Your comments about Still Life have got me to add it to my TBR.

The last three that I practically devoured: The Birthday Present, Heartsick and Sweetheart

I loved Heartsick and Sweetheart too. The third one is coming out later this year. I can't wait!

#91 - Jonesli - it sounds as if you really enjoyed Heartsick which is good to know as it is on my TBR pile. Currently I am reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson and it's very, very good!

I just devoured Heartsick and hopefully will begin Sweetheart later this evening.

Just finished Heartsick byChelsea Cain Quite a good read, has anyone got books they think I might enjoy? thanks in advance.

15. HeartSick by Chelsea Cain (finished 2-21-2009) great psychological thriller

I am reading HeartSick by Chelsea Cain.

Currently reading Heartsick by Chelsea Cain and after that I will start Sweetheart also by Chelsea Cain.

... The plot was fast-paced, with the inevitable twist at the end startling and unexpected. This was better than her first book Heartsick and I suspect I will be reading the next in the series.

I just finished Chelsea Cain's Heartsick, which had two protagonists, one a cop, the other a reporter. It was better than I expected it to be, being of the "find the serial killer" genre. Well-written and no big cheats.

Heartsick by Chelsea Cain is a great detective story/murder mystery, and set in my home town of Portland. Very gripping as we are introduced to all the characters in this new series. Read it - but with a light on and make sure the door is locked. Creepy!

#79 - Sara, Heartsick by Chelsea Cain, yeah, that's the one. That it has a sequel is kind of a strike against it, actually. Not that Sweetheart won't be any good, but why do so many new writers insist on creating a series (he asks rhetorically)? By the way Off Season is really, re ...

#78: I haven't read either books, but I agree with you on the Dexter comparison. Heartsick--the one by Chelsea Cain? Yes, I've read it and liked it. Surprisingly, there's a sequel out already (Sweetheart), which I'll have to try.

... Dexter and The Sandman, but it doesn't look like an out and out swipe. I think I may pick it up. Has anyone read Heartsick? I'm thinking of starting that once I finish Off Season.

I scored a copy of Sweetheart by Chelsea Cain! I'm thrilled, because I absolutely loved her first novel, Heartsick, I was really hoping for a copy of The Fire, as I've been a huge fan of Katherine Neville's since The Eight, but I'm not going to complain. I'm so excited!

Sweetheart by Chelsea Cain!! I can't WAIT!! I absolutely LOVED Heartsick

Finished Heartsick by Chelsea Cain. Most compelling thriller I've read in quite a while. Started American Gods by Neil Gaiman, I've resisted this for a long time and now I have no idea why as I am enjoying it immensely.

30. Heartsick by Chelsea Cain I dug it. Exciting, fast-moving plot. Primarily great characterization is what made it fly above other thrillers. It has been a long, long time since I've stayed up past my bedtime reading Currently reading: American Gods by Neil Gaiman

Just started Heartsick. Holy moly is it good so far.

I'm about 50 pages into Heartsick by Chelsea Cain. So far, it is really intriguing, and I consider myself a fairly jaded thriller reader.
