The boys travel to Rome to make good on a boast by their chief to his brother-in-law that he can serve them a dish seasoned with Caesar's laurel wreath. One of the more ridiculous stories, but the boys' appearance at the Roman games (for the second time) is somewhat diverting. ( )

Chief Vitalstatistix has rashly bet his brother-in-law, the infuriating show-off Homeopathix, that he can get hold of Caesar's laurel wreath to season a stew.
