The seventh book in the Alex Rider series does not disappoint readers - this mission is one of Alex's most dangerous but he is up for it! Some feel that the storyline of a teen boy tackling terrorists is not realistic - it isn't but who cares? The purpose of this novel is to provide a suspensful, action packed story with Alex who is adored by many....the author does just that. If true realism is what you are after, go read Macleans. ( )

I think the book Snakehead was a very good book. It was acion packed and very interesting. At sometimes it can become hard to follow. It will never make you bored from page 1. It is a sequal so it might be hard to understand unless you read the 6 books before that. ( )

How far would you go to obtain knowledge of the parents you never knew?

Alex Rider has decided he'll go on his most dangerous mission for a chance at information. Once the Australian Secret Intelligence Service tells him his godfather will lead the mission, Alex doesn't hesitate. Unfortunately, there could be a mole on the inside.

Alex and Ash travel undercover as illegal immigrants trying to find a better life in Australia. What Alex doesn't realize is that the leader of the Snakehead organization also works on the executive board of Scorpia. Major Yu knows exactly where Alex is and what he's doing. He's got several plans in motion to make Alex's life miserable...and then nonexistent.

Anthony Horowitz delivers another action-packed adventure in the ALEX RIDER series that will leave readers breathless and anticipating the next installment of Alex's strange but exciting life. ( )

Alex has just returned from outer space, and Snakehead picks up quite literally where Ark Angel left off. Since splashing down just off the Australian coast, Alex visits the offices of ASIS, the Aussie equivalent of MI6. The head of the ASIS, Ethan Brooke, asks Alex's help with a special mission, which of course Alex declines. Except that his partner for the mission would be Ash, his godfather and dad's best friend. Given the connection to parents he will never know, Alex accepts, and as can be expected-- is immediately whisked away into one deadly situation after another. Fans of the series won't be disappointed other than the fact that there is not yet a sequel to continue the series! ( )

Book description
I liked this Alex Rider book because there were a lot of things that happened that you didn't expect to happen. Like when Alex Rider hid under Major Yu's bed for a safe hiding place from all of the sailors trying to get him.

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0142412120, Paperback)

When Alex Rider crash-lands off the coast of Australia, the Australian Secret Service recruits him to infiltrate one of the ruthless gangs operating across Southeast Asia. Known as snakeheads, the gangs smuggle drugs, weapons, and worst of all, people. Alex accepts the assignment, in part for the chance to work with his godfather and learn more about his parents. What he uncovers, however, is a secret that will make this his darkest and most dangerous mission yet . . . and the knowledge that his old nemesis, Scorpia, is anything but out of his life.
