2. (77) Lottery by Patricia Wood
This did remind me of The Curious Incident of the Dog of the Night Time by Mark Haddon.
Had a fairly 'quiet' reading spell but we'll see how this week goes. Finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time yesterday which I really enjoyed. The ending fizzled out a bit but I found it quite insightful (for a novel!).
Still ploughing on through Miss Smilla's Feeling for ...
I finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time a couple of days ago, having really enjoyed reading Christopher's thoughts on life but not staying so keen on that last third of the novel...

... a busy shop on Bakewell's Market Day! I've been reading it at night and in the quiet morning shop hours, and sticking to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time when it's busier. Hopefully tomorrow it will be a quieter day so I might be able to concentrate better!
I must admit ...
... in floods of tears as I predicted yesterday morning! So now it's week 2 of People of the Book - so far so good - and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for my ABC challenge. Absolutely loving it so far - plus it's an easy one to read so ideal for reading at the shop. I am ...
... for next year. If I don't manage to hold out until then it'll make a nice read over Christmas! So I'm now reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time alongside The People of the Book. So far, brilliant! Not many choices for my next read though...
The 'I' Short ...
OK, next up is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. It was almost 84, Charing Cross Road but if I can restrain myself until January it'll fit nicely into my 1010 challenge, so we'll see!
My choices are pretty limited for 'I', especially since I don't want ...
#30: I loved The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time ! One of my favorite books, glad to see you enjoyed it too. :)

I finished The curious incident of the dog in the night time this morning (and it was excellent) and picked up The graduate at the local library.
Hey, Louanne! I was one of those people who really liked The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night because it was such a fast, easy read while also so beautifully reflecting the thinking of a person with autism.
OK, that list was way too long! I've deleted it. If anyone wants the alphabetized list, tell me and I'll send it to you.
I've read three books from the longlist, A Distant Shore, Elizabeth Costello , and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time , and only one, Brick Lane, from the shortlist. All were good, but none were spectacular, IMO.
... Marcelo in the Real World By Francisco X. Stork (love the name!). It's also a YA novel and is supposed to be similar to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time .

The best example of my average would be The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon although it wasn't published until 2004.
Right now The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. It's pretty interesting and alos entertaining.
... great book. It's made it to the top of my book club recommendation list. For a million reasons.
