A girl and her grandmother share a close bond: making tortillas together, warding off scary bugs in the night, and visiting the place where the monarch butterflies return each year. When grandmother dies, the girl gains strength through Day of the Dead festivities and through remembering that the butterflies hold the souls of those who have died. Tear-jerker!
