When her widowed father remarries a woman with five children and moves 13 year-old Evyn and her older brother to Boston, she resents leaving her home and friends, but gradually comes to terms with the situation.

I live with a thirteen year old girl. They aren't that rational or logical about things. Evyn is just far to sweet to be believed. The family in this story is fairly cookie cutter. It reads quickly. Other than that, it leaves a lot to be desired. ( )

I read this in about an hour and a half. It was almost as good as Perfect and Lush... Basic plot: Evyn has trouble adjusting when her dad remarries a Greek woman who has 6 kids. I think what stands out the most for me about these 3 books by Natasha Friend is the voice. All 3 of the girls feel very authentic and by the end of each book I felt like I really knew Evyn, Samantha and Isabelle. ( )
