This book impacted my life. I invited a handful of guys to read it with me, along with the accompanying manual. These were all guys who, like me, had experienced some sort of childhood trauma. A couple of guys were in and out of the study, but two others joined me every Saturday morning for a truly meaningful time of sharing our struggles to reach that place of abundance as we work through the hurts of the past.

Allender is one of my favorite voices in the church today. He is also a great storyteller. This book is full of compelling stories. Some manuals seem to be a marketing afterthought - not so with this one. The manual is very well done and I would definitely encourage using it as well. ( )
