Advancements in science have taken us further and further from the tangibles our ancestors used to define and understand their world. science has attempted to draw a careful line between what can be provan and what cannot. But a revolution is at hand. keith explains how a fresh look at quantum physics supports phenomena that have long been ridiculed or ignored by classical science. In engaging and frank prose Keith argues that magic is governed by laws similar to those that define scientific principles. This is a truly fascinating gateway for exploring psychic phenomena.… (more)

Like hermit_9 I find this sort of argument not completely convincing. Working as a medical technician is not enough to give one a deep understanding of theoretical physics. Seems like a bit of wishful thinking combined with a lack of knowledge of traditional occult theory.

As magickal practitioners, can we explain why "well-intentioned Spells work"? How can Prayer, Spells or Invocations actually manifest into material form? Just what is the "Astral Plane"? Why does it always seem to rain as soon as you've washed your car? These and many other questions can be explained scientifically through the Laws of Quantum Physics!

Imagine empty space, no energy, no material, nothing! Then a thought to 'create' something occurs and viola! A particle is created, with a negative energy balance from the space! It lives a short time, then Pfft! It disappears back into the empty space from which it comes. Impossible you say? This is only one example of many that Quantum Physics has proved that "Matter" can manifest from "Nothing". As an "Astrophysics" student in University myself, I can vouch that the theory and mathematics are all correct. If this happens, then it is not so outlandish to assume that our thoughts, intentions and desires affect not only the material, but the immaterial world too! This is exactly what we try to do when we perform "Magick". Well, science is now proving it as 'real'.

For centuries, witches and magick practitioners have known basic "Law of Magick", Laws that Isaac Bonewit's recently organized, which explain what happens and how. However, only through Quantum Physics, can we now explain the "Why" and confirm scientifically what witches have always known. Magick works in certain ways.

Even if you've never understood Science or Math, this book if for you! For anyone who would like a humorous, easy to read book about the "Science" of what we commonly consider "Magick", this book is a must read. - Salient ( )

Keith attempts to use the chaotic workings of quantum physics to explain the efficacy of magic. His arguments are not completely unconvincing. But by Asimov’s definition, we are far from having a technology to describe the workings of magic. This is an entertaining read, despite the attempt to rationalize the irrational. ( )
