12. Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. LOVED IT!!! But a sad ending =( I also enjoyed In Her Shoes, Good in Bed, and Certain Girls all by Jennifer Weiner. ... is The Women by TC Boyle. Little House on Roc ... ... Weiner's that I really liked was In Her Shoes. I couldn't finish Little Earthquakes, tolerated Goodnight Nobody and Certain Girls. However, unless her next book gets fantastic reviews, I doubt if I will read anything of hers again. I'll certainly not buy any more!
And Cannie WAS ... ... probably one of my favorite books ever; Weiner is, to me, the queen of "chick lit." But after getting a few chapters into Certain Girls, I put it down and started reading something else. Then I read two other books. And then five others. Now I'm worried I'm never getting back to it! Although I didn't hate it, I was disappointed in Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. I loved Good in Bed, and this book was nowhere near as good.

I needed a "fun read" and found this at the library. I've read several of Weiner's other books, and have always enjoyed her characters, the fast-paced stories, and the humor. This book was quite similar. It picks up the ... ... know that it's about "the loss not being real" to kids - I read plenty of chick lit that requires the kleenex by my side: Certain Girls for instance, or anything by Jane Green
I'm 2/3 finished with Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. I needed an easy one this week with school starting and all. Absolutely no surprises, but it is an easy read. However, I think she's just about exhausted the theme of 'fat girl with mean father and crazy sister finds love but still ... ... away. http:// ... Wow, so did I! I have spent it already! I snagged an ARC of Certain Girls, which I would have had to pass on if that point had not magically appeared at that very moment.
Thank you! ... really wanted to like Arsonist's Guide, but about half way through I just couldn't take it anymore.
I just abandoned Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner. I've been reading a lot of heavier stuff lately, and I thought this would be a nice light, fun read, especially since I enjoyed Good in B ... ... The History of God now.
But, I wanted something a bit more light-hearted in the mean time, so I'm currently reading Certain Girls by Jennifer Weiner, the sequel to Good in Bed. ... girl - Megan Crane
