The mechanics of the syllogism, and the world of logical fallacies are laid bare. The book is a fine exposure to an area that certainly needs more utilization. ( )A standard introduction to logic. My complaint is that it tries to be too fine-grained in the chapter on informal fallacies, and I could do without the notion of 'conditional validity' in its chapter on categorical syllogisms (the Aristotelian system). The Latin for all the fallacies are herein, just the thing for you to lose all your friends. no reviews | add a review
