A fun story where the main character is a caterer who gets drawn into mysteries. Includes her recipes, which the one I tried so far, Shrimp on Wheekls, was excellent. Not only a good read, but a good dinner! ( )

Goldy is getting married. Or is she? The priest has not arrived, nor has her fiancee. When her fiancee calls at the last minute saying the priest has been murdered, rumors begin to fly at the Episcopal church. Things only get worse for Goldy as she discovers her fiancee is now missing. She is told to sit still and wait, but her mind won't let her. Being an active woman who makes her living at catering, she throws herself into cooking and trying to figure out what is happening in her church family. This book has numerous recipes, some of which I intend to copy and try. I found it to be a good read. Some of the character's reactions didn't ring true for me, and I have another bone to pick which would be a spoiler, but for the most part I enjoyed reading this and intend to read more. I won't be keeping it on my shelves, because I don't think I will need to read it again, but I'll happily share and recommend it to friends as a fun cozy mystery. ( )
